Stellina
Stellina has been capturing scenes of Lambertville for over a decade now. Her photos have appeared in a history book about Shad fishing on Lewis Island and her greeting cards with local scenes can be found in Lambert+Hope in town.
She is an award winning photographer whose work has been recognized by the Leica Historical Society for her series of photographs capturing the people of New Orleans.
She is inspired by many artists, ranging from the folk art of Grandma Moses to the sweeping landscapes of Ansel Adams. Many of her photographs have a painterly quality to them.
In her own words:
The one thing we cannot change is time - as well preserved as Lambertville is, it is constantly changing. In the past 10 years, the skyline of New Hope has changed, the magnificent trees by the Lewis Island fishing shack are no longer there, and the shoreline keeps shifting. Photography is one way of stopping time, if even for a little while.
