Jane Burroughs

Jane Burroughs was born and raised in the Lambertville area. She has always been inspired by the vibrant art scene in the Delaware Valley area, and found her passion and love of the arts growing up in a creative family.

While recovering from a traumatic life event, she began her journey of personal exploration. Her sister, an accomplished artist and mentor, set up her studio for her. The advice she gave her to “paint your stories” unleashed Jane’s inner artist.

Leaning towards surrealism, she works with acrylics, blending bold colors to create pieces that delve into emotion, movement and discovery. She is most inspired by artists like Frida Kahlo, Georgia O’Keefe and, of course, her sister.

In Jane’s own words:

“As the canvas speaks to me, recurring themes of identity and self-discovery emerge. Through vivid colors and forms, I aim to express the emotions and challenges of personal growth. I invite viewers to reflect on their own journeys through my art.”
